Chicago, United Americas, Earth, Sol: The Chicago branch directs the corporation’s activity in Sol. There have been talks of cutting losses on Tau Ceti and moving the company to Chicago, though the incredibly competitive corporate scene of the United Americas would prove difficult.

Notorious across the known galaxy, Idris Reclamation Units or IRUs are shell IPCs constructed and programmed to reclaim securities and or assets from a client in arrears. Capable of excellent customer service and a novelty to agreeable customers, their notoriety stems from their inhuman treatment of "problem customers". Capable of extreme violence branded as "reasonable force", IRUs always carry out their "directives". A common tactic of IRUs when faced with problem customers is to switch to an intimidating synthesized voice and illuminate their pupils; the sight alone is generally sufficient to trigger cooperation. Many IRUs are sold second hand to various corporations who usually utilise them for security or investigation work.
History
Idris Incorporated was founded as pressure grew for a secure way to store Credits and have them transferable across solar systems. Erin Idris stepped up to the challenge. After starting on Mendell, and initially only servicing Sol and Tau Ceti, Idris got his big break when the Mason family, wealthy business people from Epsilon Eridani, invested over 100 million Credits into the bank. The business boomed, and the Idris and Mason family alliance has continued to grow the corporation, and expanded their field of work into the stock market.
