Dionae Technology

Dionae across the Orion Spur have created various forms of Technology, used to assist in everyday life, more specifically for the species. Whilst the technology is primarily used by Dionae, it has been noted to easily be converted to be capable of being used by other sentient species through the use of modifiers and implementations of technology splicing.

Dionae Hypersonic

A Sonic Firearm capable of being used via rootsong, against Dionae.

A weapon crafted through Phodot and Iolid combinations - it forms a large tunnel that assists in amplifying disruptions to the electromagnetic frequency. Currently only used by the Biesellian Choir in an attempt to deter Dionae-on-Dionae crime as well as Dionae-on-NonDionae crime. It has seen incredible success in the last few years, thanks to an (unfortunate) increase in Bloodnappings.

Non-Dionae Hypersonic

A NanoTrasen created innovation - recently created through the splicing of both the Biesellian Choir technology and a handful of their own. Designed to emit high-pitched frequencies that disrupt electromagnetic frequencies similar to that of the Dionae Hypersonic, but on a much less effective scale. It doesn't entirely disable Dionae, but more so slows them down even further as well as creates vertigo for the gestalt under the influence of the Hypersonic.

Spires/Atheneums

Spires or Atheneums, as seen within Epsilon Ursae Minoris and Biesellian Choir, are essentially transmitters as well as storages for knowledge. They are the fastest known transmitters within the Orion Spur - capable of sending and receiving millions of terabytes worth of data in a relatively short amount of time.

The Biesellian Choir uses these to communicate with various Clusters across the Orion Spur, allowing for plans and various other pieces of data to be sent in short amounts of time. The Jargon Federation has taken a keen interest in the Spire's ability, and have routinely stated that technology similar to the Spires will eventually be reverse-engineered.

Kalsrthite Blade

An extremely deadly blade, both to Dionae and non-Dionae, thanks to having three serrated blades. Forged with the use of Phodot, Ambergris and Iolids in the sweltering heats of an Actomium Forge. The Kalsrthite Blade was created only for the most valiant Defenders of the ‘Kshhr’ Cluster. In the present, the blade is seen as a reminder to never again allow violence to be a means to an end - that all conflicts can be resolved with diplomacy and compromises.

Actomium Forges

The Actomium Forge is essentially a large construct using extremely condensed Iolid, which is then heated through the use of various combustibles as well as Phodot, to allow for smelting to occur. The Actomium Forge traps superheated air within a small area, which allows for smelting to occur with relatively little impurities thanks to the negative pressure created by designated Actomiums (Dionae marked as Actomium Smelters).

There is currently only one within the Orion Spur; The Overgrown Labs of Xrim. The Biesellian Choir is currently constructing their own, thanks to assistance from the Xrim Cluster.

Aegsexite Collider

The Aegsexite Collider is currently still being built on Xrim. It is an extremely volatile technology supposedly capable of reversing the growth of sedentarism through electromagnetic field manipulation. Dionae on Xrim are working tirelessly to ensure that it matches the specifications exactly - due to the numerous formulae that must be calculated in order to manipulate the electromagnetic field without disrupting a large portion of Xrim.

Organic Mesh Weave

One of the few technologies actually sold to outsiders by the Biesellian Cluster, the organic mesh weave makes use of high tensile, photoreceptive organic fibres developed by the Dionae to produce lightweight, flexible building materials which reflect beneficial light and radiation onto nearby Dionae. In practical terms, the mesh is often used as a clothing material, allowing Dionae to wear clothes that would otherwise stifle their gestalts, blocking light. The clothing is manufactured by choir Dionae within the temple and is shipped across Biesel, making it an expensive rarity outside of the planet. Any clothing style can be copied in this way and turned into suitable Dioane clothing. The “cloth” is also a hit with many humans within the warmer climes of Biesel as the mesh weave clothing, whilst still allowing one to maintain their dignity, actually projects the sun's rays through the clothes allowing one to tan whilst still wearing swimwear or beachwear. Whilst this might allow for a Dionae to wear a full suit and pants, the technology becomes less potent the more layers are added and generally, all Dionae, even the Choir, prefer to feel a star's rays on their bare “skin”, finding heavy or multi-layered clothing psychologically stifling.

Natural Compounds

Phodot

Phodot, an acidic byproduct of the production of Ambergris, has been used for dozens of different commodities. Phodot is a powerful adhesive that allows for the construction of Dionae structures, as well as Non-Dionae structures, thanks to its characteristics. It can also be used to smelt various minerals as when heated, it can reach temperatures as high as 3000C (5400F).

Iolid

Iolid, an almost concrete substance used to create structures. It is formed through the use of compacted waste-byproducts (such as unnecessary Biomass). It is an incredible insulator, and has been known to survive through situations deemed hostile for a variety of other substances. Iolis are incredibly specialised gestalts that have been taught methods to create this substance, and can typically be over a century old.

Tachium

Tachium, an incredibly corrosive substance that Dionae use to breakdown biomass. It forms naturally in Gas Bladders, and needs to be expelled at least bi-weekly or it can lead to severe health issues. It is typically used in mining, and demolition work.
