A special operations squad of the Elyran Armed Forces, codename Eagle Claw, boarded the Horizon with the intent of seizing the ship for trespassing within Elyran space, and for usage as a bargaining chip against the SCC. The Caraviaggo, fulfilling their contract boarded soon after, intent on removing the Elyrans from the Horizon. The captain decided to side with the Caraviaggo, ordering them to remove the Elyrans by force from the Horizon, causing the FSF marines to storm the bridge and eliminate the Elyrans. However, many other members of command disagreed with this course of action, and after the captain willfully gave up a large sum of phoron and credits to the FSF for their assistance, began to heavily protest this decision. This caused the FSF to open fire on those members of the crew disagreeing with the captain, starting a mutiny aboard. The FSF then left as things turned more and more sour, escaping back to the Caraviaggo, which has since left the region leaving the Horizon unprotected. | A special operations squad of the Elyran Armed Forces, codename Eagle Claw, boarded the Horizon with the intent of seizing the ship for trespassing within Elyran space, and for usage as a bargaining chip against the SCC. Chief Executive Officer Miranda Trasen of NanoTrasen Corporation has announced their intended withdrawal from the Serene Republic of Elyra citing a hostile environment with little economic benefit as a result of rising domestic tensions from the demonstrations across al-Hamid Square. This comes days after an alleged after-action report by the Elyran Ministry of Defence concerning an incursion that occurred on the SCCV Horizon, the existence of such an incident has been denied by both the Ministry of Defence and the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate.
Zeng-Hu Pharmaceuticals, Zavodskoi Interstellar, Hephaestus Industries, and Idris Incorporated have not commented on their position within the Republic of Elyra. They seem not to be following in the steps of NanoTrasen as it begins close its doors across the New Suez Free Economic Trade Zone. Employees have been given the opportunity to transfer to the megacorporation’s other branches across the Orion Spur, however, some have been appropriated by other constituent megacorporations within the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate that are taking advantage of NanoTrasen’s removal as they hire those that wish to remain within the Republic of Elyra.
Additionally, the Republic of Biesel and the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate have denied that a territorial encroachment has occurred and have confirmed that the NanoTrasen proposed resource extraction and refinement operations site will continue - referred to as the Orchard Moon Mining Station.
